Name Painting Course

$149

This is a class for people who want to learn how to do name painting — the kind you see at theme parks, boardwalks, and festivals.

We’ll go over all the secret materials, how to build your own brushes, and how to mix the special paint recipe that gives it that super vibrant, flowing look. This stuff is hard to find, and honestly kind of top secret. That’s basically what you’re paying for — the stuff you can’t just look up on YouTube.

Here’s what the class looks like:

There are 5 main lessons:

  1. Lesson 1: Basic Strokes – We’ll go over the brush control and motion.
  2. Lesson 2: Building Block Shapes – Leaves, flames, waves — the stuff you use in every painting.
  3. Lesson 3: Mermaids and Princesses – How to draw people in this style.
  4. Lesson 4: Mini Painting – A small project to test your skills.
  5. Lesson 5: Full Name Painting – This is the final project where it all comes together.

I’ve tried to make this class as easy and digestible as I can, because the truth is — name painting is way harder than it looks. A lot of people get discouraged. So I’ve done my best to make the videos fun, not boring, and to structure the lessons in a way where you can actually finish the course.

A little bit about me:

I learned name painting back in 2011 at Disneyland, California, trained under Kamans Art Shops. In 2012, I started my own Etsy shop, selling custom name paintings online. It’s 2025 now — so that’s 13+ years of doing this professionally. I’ve painted names for people all around the world, and I’ve been hired to do live events — birthday parties, weddings, corporate gigs etc...

On top of that, I work as a theme park designer.
I’ve done concept design for projects like Universal Studios Beijing (Thea Award, 2023) and Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando (USA Today’s #1 New Attraction, 2020). I also teach art on Outschool, where I’m currently ranked in the top 1% of all art educators.

What you get:

  • Pre-recorded video lessons
  • Downloadable worksheets you can trace or draw over
  • Direct links to all the materials I use — these are hard to find, so I’ve made it easy
  • A Facebook group to share your work and connect with others
  • Email access to me if you want feedback or have questions

This is a self-paced class. You can go fast, or take your time. All I ask is that you actually try and follow the steps. Don’t just watch the videos — do the practice. The worksheets help a lot.

Good luck, and let’s see if you can make it all the way to Lesson 5.
